SCAPIS is a Swedish population study that will recruit and study the heart and lung status of 30,000 randomly selected women and men of the ages 50-64. The purpose is to be able to identify individual risks for stroke, COPD, sudden cardiac arrest, myocardial infarction and other heart diseases.
